Task 2

Week 10-Week 11 (Sense Of Place)

I was inspired by the Forbidden City in Beijing.  I've been there once, but I want to go there many more times. I especially want to go to the Forbidden City to see the snow, that is my wish every winter, but because of the epidemic, I have not seen the snow in the Forbidden City.

These are someone else's photo I saw on Weibo when it was snowing in the Forbidden City.

Ms. JinChi suggested that I embody the sense of place of the Forbidden City, so I thought for a long time and decided to use a corner of the Forbidden City to do so. This place is called the Jiao Lou. Many people who come to the Forbidden City take photos here, and SO do I. This picture was taken when I went to the Forbidden City.

I was going to do it on a ipad, but the lines weren't straight, so I decided to do it on a computer. I wanted to focus on the lines of the building, so I simplified the colors.

FEEDBACK


General Feedback：Ms. JinChi advised me to embody a sense of place.

Specific Feedback：I don't know how to embody the sense of place of the Palace Museum when it snows.



REFLACTIONS



Experiences: I was going to do it on a ipad, but the lines weren't straight, so I decided to do it on a computer. I wanted to focus on the lines of the building, so I simplified the colors.

Observations:  I think it is more convenient to use a computer to express some linear design.

Findings:The Jiao Lou is an iconic place, so I think the Jiao Lou can reflect the sense of place of the Forbidden City
