INSTRUCTIONS
PROJECT 1: INSTRUCTABLE INFOGRAPHIC POSTER
Study one video, break down, and chunk the preparation and cooking process into an instructable poster. Try to capture each Grandma’s personality and unique dish identity in your sign as part of the narrative structure
#1 THE TASK
"A picture is worth a thousand words" infographics present complex information quickly and clearly, with symbols charts, and diagrams. With an information graphic, computer scientists, mathematicians, and statisticians develop and communicate concepts using a single symbol to process information. Our task is to transmit a set of instructions and at the same time educate the audience.
#2 INFORMATION BREAKDOWN
We first Identify our favorite video from Pasta Grannies' YouTube channel.
Fig. 1.1. I Choose this: https://youtu.be/NR91YVJdvXA
I watched the video and documented the steps:
1kg of flour, 25g of fresh yeast, pour about 600ml of water, dissolve the yeast and mix. Knead the dough. Wake up for an hour. Put in the refrigerator. After an hour, take out the dough and knead it, cut it into pieces, start rolling the dough, roll it into a dough sheet with a rolling pin, then fold it and cut it into strips of 20 cm long noodles. Pour some olive oil in a pan, put some tomato halves in it, put some sliced onions in it, put a lot of basil (a vegetable) in it. Add some salt and a little sugar. On medium heat, fry these things together, then use a blender to blend, and it becomes a tomato sauce. Boil a pot of water, put the noodles into the pot and cook, add a little salt, after 15 minutes, take out the noodles, put them on a plate, pour the sauce, sprinkle some Basil, the pincinelle is ready.
I make Pincinelle's finished work in Procreate.
